JEE Main is a standardised examination conducted in different centres across India for admission into top engineering colleges in the country. It is conducted in online mode. This examination is the first phase of the examination conducted for admission into IIT. The candidates who get the required cutoff score in JEE Main will be permitted to appear for the JEE Advanced examination. As per the latest update from the officials, the JEE Main will be conducted only twice this year, unlike the previous year, where it was conducted four times.
The registration process for JEE Main 2022 has started on March 1st, and the registration window will be open till March 31st. The registration window is for the first session.
JEE Main Admit Card
The National Testing Academy will release the admit card for JEE main at least a week before the JEE main examination. The JEE Main admit card for the examination can be downloaded from the official website. If the candidates find any discrepancy in the details on the admit card, it has to be informed to the examination authorities immediately. The details mentioned on the JEE Main admit card will include the candidate’s name, date of birth, gender, application number, roll number, father’s name, centre code, test city, shift, date of examination, the timing of the examination etc.
The JEE Main admit card for the two sessions of the examination conducted in the year 2022 will be released separately. The admit card will be released online a week ahead of the examination. There will not be any physical copy of the admit card sent to the candidate by post. It is mandatory to carry the hard copy of the admit card to the examination hall.
The JEE Main admit card has to be kept safely by the candidates till the selection process is completed. It is used to verify the identity of students not only during the examination but also during the counselling process.
JEE Main Result
The examination result is declared by the National Testing Agency on the official website. There will not be any physical copy of the marks card sent to the candidate. The candidates must enter the official website and click on the JEE main 2022 result link. The candidate will be redirected to a new page where they can enter the exam session details, application form, date of birth and the security pin. On successfully entering the login credentials, the result will be displayed. The JEE Main result can be downloaded, and the printout can be taken for further reference. The details on the result card include the candidate’s name, roll number, date of birth, father’s name, subject-wise NTA score, total NTA scores obtained in the respective attempt.
If there is a tie between two candidates in the JEE main result, the ranks will be determined by giving preference to the score of the candidates in particular subjects. The first preference is given to the candidate who scores the highest in mathematics, the second preference is given to the physics marks, and the third preference is given to the candidates who score higher in chemistry.
